Mind Mapping for Vacation

This map is something I did to help me remember what to bring on camping trips. After all these years of camping, you would think I would have come up with a list a looooong time ago. But, nooooo, every trip, I sit down and re-write a list. I'm a very organized person, why have I done this to myself all these years?

Well, no more! Now I've made this handy dandy map to keep me on track without having to think up this list every time we go camping. Yippee!

I hope you can see how mind mapping for vacation can help you organize your vacations. You can even use a map to help you decide where to go on vacation.

Or what about organizing the summer for your children? Are your kids going to different day camps or overnight camps? A map is the perfect way to keep it all organized.

So here is my brand new mind mapping for vacation camping trip map. Feel free to totally copy it :-) I made it over at Mindomo with a free account.

Color is Key
Notice how each "branch" in the above map has its' own color. This is very key in Mind Maps. Below is the same map without different colors. See the difference? Amazing, isn't it?

Mind Mapping in Business

Mind Mapping is a great way to get your thoughts organized. I don't know anyone who does not have to organize something, if not multiple things. Especially in business. I use mapping all the time to organize projects, meetings, etc. Once you start, you can't stop!

Mind Mapping in School

Study skills is the perfect place to implement mapping. I can think of six ways to use mapping as I am sitting here writing this, here you go:

  • outlining
  • to study battles in a war
  • map out topics such as energy force and matter
  • schedule all class syllabi so you don't miss any assignments
  • map out a story line
  • use a map as a review tool for exams.

There you go and that's just the tip of the iceberg as far as mapping goes.

Mind Mapping at Home

I often use mapping for home projects. Using maps to plan our family get aways helps me remember all those pesky little details. Things like medicines we may need, maps, flashlights, etc. Try using a map for your next trip. You will be sure to find it handy and helpful.
