Using Mind Mapping in SchoolIf you've looked at my vacation and business map, you will quickly notice that the school map is a totally different style. This is because the school map was done by my daughter. Personally, I think it is fascinating how completely different map styles can still acheive the same results depending on the person. This map is very hard for me to follow, but for my daughter, it's perfect. In fact, she doesn't at all like the maps I do on the computer. So, to each his own, and hey, as long as it works, there is really not a wrong way to do a map. There are some things you can do to make them more effective, but you have to find what works for you. So here is a map about the Nile. My daughter did this when, you guessed it, we were studying Egypt. Be Sure to Use Color If you are going to use Mind Mapping in school or really at any time, you should know that one of the components that makes a map useful is the color. Notice that each "branch" has it's own color. This helps the brain to categorize and remember the information.
